“90 percent of all illness and disease is related to stress.”
Centres for Disease Control (CDC)
“Too much stress for too long creates what is known as ‘chronic stress’ which has been linked to heart disease, stroke, and may also influence cancer and chronic respiratory diseases. And illness is just the tip of the iceberg. Stress affects you emotionally, as well, marring the joy you gain from life and loved ones.”
Harvard
I’m not surprised.
I have health issues myself and know how stress exacerbates my symptoms. Unfortunately it’s like the chicken and the egg…because studies show that chronic illness itself can cause anxiety, confusion, depression, stress.
Research has also proven that mindfulness meditation practices help reduce stress associated with illness and chronic pain, which can reduce the physical and mental discomfort of disease.
And while mindfulness practices can be used for any health issue, Anchored Meditation is currently offering mindfulness training for people living with tinnitus.
It’s difficult. Draining. And disruptive. I know…
Like you, I’m one of the 740 million people in the world who experience tinnitus. In my case, it happens 24/7. Aaaand it’s a 9 out of 10 in terms of loudness…
So I know what it’s like when that hissing, ringing, and roaring in your ears:
Fills you with panic
Makes it impossible to concentrate
Makes you impossible to live with
Makes you feel like you’ll never have a normal life again
If you’re curious about how mindfulness and meditation practices can help you relieve the stress, panic, or despair that often comes with tinnitus, this is a good place to start!
In this live 2-hour workshop, you’ll gain a better understanding of what mindfulness meditation is and isn’t, and how it could be the answer to your daily struggles with tinnitus.
This 8-week program provides you with a step-by-step process to effectively cope with tinnitus so it no longer rules your life.
You will learn how to use mindfulness and meditation to reduce feelings of panic, fear, anxiety, tension, or irritability that you may be experiencing as a result of tinnitus.
And, I’ll give you just the facts, none of the “woo-woo”.
Early in 2022, I suddenly developed moderate to severe hearing loss in my left ear. Several days later, I started hearing hissing and ringing in my ears, 24/7! And while the hearing loss was difficult to accept, the tinnitus was even worse. I spent hours with “Dr. Google”, researching how others were dealing with tinnitus.
It was very hard to read that some people seriously considered ending their life, but I totally get it. In my own dark moments I couldn’t see how I was going to be able to live the rest of my life like this either.
I wasn’t sure I was even going to be able to continue meditating, let alone be teaching it. But, it turned out that my mindfulness and meditation practice is what saved me. And today I am living a positive, engaged, quality life with tinnitus and hearing loss rather than constantly trying to fight it.
As you might know, doctors say “You just have to learn to live with it.” –but, they don’t tell you how. I’ll tell you how it can be done.
While there’s no cure for tinnitus, there are ways to manage it and help stop it from completely disrupting your quality of life. One way that’s been proven to be effective is mindfulness & meditation. In fact, studies have shown that mindfulness-based programs have been proven to:
Reduce the intrusiveness of tinnitus
Decrease tinnitus-related distress
Lower rates of depression in people with tinnitus.
Whether you’ve just been diagnosed with tinnitus or have been living with it for years, mindfulness & meditation practices can bring you some peace of mind.
Doctors have told you “You’ll just have to live with it.”
In the 2-hour Panic to Peace Workshop, I’ll show you how it can be done!

I care about showing others how to live a better life with tinnitus because I know exactly what it’s like. But you should know up-front:
During the Be. Hear. Now. program we won’t be talking about tinnitus as a medical condition. Especially in that I am not a doctor. I am a Tinnitus Experiencer – just like you.
There are many reasons tinnitus happens or is triggered. And while there is no “cure” for tinnitus, there are many ways tinnitus symptoms can be managed. Or not – as the case may be for you.
